Whether you have ever exercised regularly before or not, fitness is a skill that can be developed, and absolutely everyone can improve their physical situation, when fitness is intelligently approached.
Fitness training is not a one size fits all process. Each client is different and so the approach and techniques used will differ from client to client. Your current fitness and goals will be assessed so that we can tailor a programme to suit you. Training sessions will include a series of exercises that will help improve your endurance, strength, mobility, stability, coordination & power. Generally 1:1 coaching is accompanied by "homework" such as stretching, bodyweight workouts, goals & tips etc. A little about me... I've played various sports throughout my life, from badminton to rowing & football to roller derby. Ive played sport at county, national and international levels' but after retiring from sport a few years ago I missed the trainings so decided to study fitness and in 2014 I undertook several courses in Personal Training, Group Instruction and Fitness Instruction with Kettlebells, Suspension Training, Exercise to music etc.
Initially this was for my own interest but I quickly realised how my background in body therapies coupled with the exercise training gave me a new way to help others. Personally I have used exercise to help me deal with an under-active thyroid and bulging discs in my lower back so that I can continue to enjoy an active lifestyle. In setting up the new fitness aspect to my holistic business I knew I wanted to help people, to not just look good but feel better in themselves and about themselves. To have the energy, by increasing their strength & fitness, to enjoy their lives with ease, rather than struggle. Whatever your age, fitness level or background you can benefit from working with a trainer. Whatever your goal is, I'm here to guide you and help you reach it in a healthy way. 1:1 fitness training is available using the Riverside gym at the Clonakilty GAA Complex ,Wednesday through to Saturdays.
OUTDOOR FITNESS BOOTCAMPS
The idea behind the outdoor bootcamp is that a group of friends comes together to share the cost of having a trainer. It's for small personalised groups of 2-6 people for outdoor Get Fit sessions. Aimed at women aged 30+. You get a gang together and I will tailor the bootcamp to your group. This could include a mix of plyometric, bodyweight, HIIT, resistance weight training etc with some old school tunes to keep ye energised! Sessions are €40-€60, depending on your group size & needs.
